Pg.71 Obama is telling us about the hardships he faced as a child in Indonesia. He says that most of the time he had fun because he knew no different. They had exotic pets and he loved playing with the other boys, but towards the end of his moms and step-fathers marriage he said things started to get weird and scary. His family was becoming poor and Lolo, the step-father, often slept with a pistol. I notice that Obama keeps referring to how Lolo had so many hardships with his his job, and I think that is one reason his mother and step-father got divorced.
Pg.45 I think that the word power is very important in this section of the book, because it describes the rise and fall of the Indonesian Government, Obama's new family, and most of all, Lolo.
